Bella with Baby

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 12:31 pm

Good morning everyone, looks a little drier out there today. Unfortunately I think the weather man is still calling for more rain today. Boooooo

Anyway, a friend of ours is home from California so were off to Markham today for a visit. We haven’t seen her in almost five years. She is expecting her first baby so I made this cute Bella card for her. Hmmm… the Bella Boutique is also in Markham, that works out nicely.

I coloured her with my copics and stamped her again and trimed just her belly and added it on top to really pop it out.  You’ll  know what I mean when you look at the pic, lol. I used my labels nesties’s to cut her out,  added some stretchy frilly ribbon and of course a few prima flowers.

Then when we get home and get the kiddies put to bed, I’ve been invited to a girlfriends for another PMS night woohoo!  For those of you that don’t know PMS stands for Pajamas Munchies and Stamping or scrapbooking.  It’s alot of fun. I’m looking forward to it. *hi Lori*

Hope you have a great weekend.

Make n’ Take thursday.

Filed under: Cards, Make N' Takes, Scrappin' Great Deals — angiebaker @ 12:50 pm

Good morning,  I’m off to do a make n’ take this afternoon between 3-5 at SGD. It’s perfect for some type of invitation when it’s all closed up it’s like an envelope, cute eh?  With summer approaching and BBQ’s , pool parties, and Birthday’s I thought it would be ideal.  I may just have to throw a party so I can hand these out, hmmmm….

I believe I got the idea from splitcoast stampers, but I’m not sure cause I was browsing all over the place for some ideas.  If you’d like to join me out at Sheila’s to make this, did I mention it’s free?  Yup,and you don’t need to register just come, k?

Have a great day, stay dry!

My very own Anya’s

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 12:22 pm

Good morning, it looks like it going to be a wet dreary day. Hopefully it dries up because Mark and I are suppose to go to a BBQ tonight. Yeah, I don’t have to cook.

So Todays card is using my very own first Anya’s, I wanted these Miss Anya’s as soon as I saw them.  They will be used a lot in the future. I inked them up right away and started colouring with my…you got it, Copics. lol

I cut her out using my labels Nesties mounted that on some yummy chocolately American crafts paper. ( love it, I think I bought a sheet of this entire colour series.) The sentiment is from Bella and I used my favourite Martha Stewart border punch to fancy it up a bit. Finished off with some Prima flowers and some brads I picked up from Dollarama.

Anyhoo, hope you have a great day! I think I’ll be doing some creating. 🙂

Baby wishes

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 4:02 pm

Good morning, my girlfriend is I believe 4 days overdue and I feel for her.  I hope the baby comes soon!

They know the sex but haven’t told anyone but I think they have both made little slips here and there and I think it’s a girl. So this is my card, maybe if I post this today the baby will come. Fingers crossed.

I used a high hopes stamp not sure of the name of it, but isn’t he cute. I colured it with my copics and put some white flock on his fur. I cut it out with my new nesties and mounted it on some yellow Bazzil bling.  Tied some pink mesh ribbon that I got from Dollarama and knotted the little pink bib embellishment in the bow. The little pink pearls also came from Dollarama, score! The scalloped paper came with some square envelopes that I got from SGD. The dp I picked up  from Phebe’s sidewalk sale.

So hopefully that baby will make his or her debut very soon. Best wishes Lisa and family.

Filed under: Cards, Classes, Scrappin' Great Deals — angiebaker @ 1:04 pm

Good morning everyone, hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine you ask, was fabulous!!!! Friday afternoon when my daughter was finished school I took the girls up to my parents farm for the weekend, and I headed home alone…Yeah!!!  Love my kids, but it’s nice when you have some free time to do what you like. So when I arrived home shortly after 8pm. I went to the computer to check show times and also check my email and…there was an email from Phebe. Guess what…I got one of the Guest Designer spots!!! Who Hooooooo!!!!  So for the months of June and July myself  along with my bud Kim and Candy will be creating cards for Phebe at The Town Scrapper In Petrolia. I’m so excitied to start. Thanks again Phebe for this opportunity, it’s gonna be so much fun.

That started the weekend of just perfectly, so friday evening my hubby and I went to see Star Trek, I ‘ve never watched an episode. I’d never even had watched Star Wars until after I had met Mark. I thought the previews looked really good. I’d heard good things, and they were all true. It was quite good, I liked it. The only thing was it was tooooo loud for my poor little sensitive ears. Mark said it’s a sign that were getting old. Boooooo!!!! 😦

Saturday morning my stampin bud Kim and I headed to a scrapbooking garge sale, it was really small so you didn’t miss much. I did pick up a few stamps that I’ve already been colouring so you’ll see them soon. I just need to take some pics of them. Then I headed home to finish prepping for a class that I was teaching at SGD.

The class was using Alcohol Inks, very fun a bit messy at times but a new creation everytime. These are just a couple of the cards that we made.

That night Mark and I went to Kim and her hubby’s house for dinner, drinks and hot tubbing. Well…if you follow her blog at all you’ll know that she has a nest with baby birds right at her front door. I warned Mark about this so he didn’t startle them or vice versa. Well my dear husband is a bit of a smart ass at times and I really don’t think he meant to do anything by it. But as we were waiting for Kim to open the door, by the way I’m standing in the corner as close as I can not to disturb these birds and watching them cautiously, I know there only birds.  BUT, mu hubby jokingly says poke them, and reaches an arm up to them, aghhhhh they come flying out of the nest attacking me and I’m squealing like a fool cause I can feel them on me. Kim opens the door and I just want to get inside, she has no idea what’s going on. So I get inside shaking, and they’re out there investigating  these “baby” birds that have just left the nest, blah blah blah.  I then realize that I’ve been “Shat” yes I mean shit on!!! Nice!  OMG it was so funny, even though I’m just an innocent victim. ROR!  SO BEWARE OF BIRDS, I no longer am a fan.

Sunday morning I played with my “new” goodies and then I went out and did some shopping, clothes actually. Didn’t find too much. Zellers does have some good sales on though. Then we headed up to my parents to get the kids. The girls had a really fun weekend and of course they weren’t ready to come home, but eventually we were on our way back. And now here we are at the beiginning of a new week.  Hope it’s a great one.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hope I gave you some chuckles.

Another BD card

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 12:28 pm

Good Morning. It’s going to be another fabulous sunny day out there today. I can’t wait.  I think all my tv shows  have come to an end now.So lastnight I called a girlfriend and we went for a nice long walk.  Had a nice talk and laughed about what we shouldn’t be eating lol. We both have a sweet tooth…

Anyway todays card is for my other nephew, Quinn. (see yesterdays post) I used another stamp from the same set I used yesrterday.  Beings that they’re  twins I thought I’d make the cards similar. I coloured the little guy in with my copics cut him ut with my scalloped Nesties, the stars are a Cuttlebug die cut. The ribbon is American Crafts and the slider is from Dollarama.  I think that’s it…the paper is aaaaagain from a DCWV pack, I have alot of it.

Have a fantastic day, happy stampin 🙂

Another Birthday…

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 12:28 pm

Good Morning everyone. According to the weather man sounds like it’s going to be a fabulous day out there. Today’s card is for one of my nephews, who just turned three. Happy Birthday Cole and his twin brother Quinn. But his card I’m going to save until tomorrow. Hopefully my sister is too busy to look at this unitl after she gets this in the mail.

The stamp I used was from The Angel company, I love these kids. It comes in a set with three boys and three girls. Anyway I coloured him in with my copics cut him out with my Nesties. Pop dotted him, stamped some baseballs, cut the top one out and popped it as well. Some paper from DCWV pack again, and the Rough and Tumble stamp is from an “All Boy” Sassafras set. Hope he likes it.

Check back tomorrow to see his brothers card. Have a great day.

Card Tag Complete

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 1:02 pm

Hello there, hope everyone had a great long weekend. I did, it was busy, productive and fun.  Most of the tv series have come to an end. How happy were you that JT had won? I was soooooooo happy, he deserves it. AND he won most popular survivor as well. Not too shabby. Hope I haven’t wrecked it for anyone, but come on…you’ve had time to watch it by now 😉

Todays card is from a card tag that I was in last week.  I used this Unity stamp and some terrific glitter thingys from the one and only, Dollarama. I love that store! I uesd my labels Nesties to cut it out, some flowers from my stash, dew drops, and my Martha Stewart lace border punch. You can see the other 12 cards on Kim‘s blog.

Have a great day!

BD Party

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 1:19 pm

Good morning, My hubby was on the computer this morning so I had to wait my turn. Today we have a Birthday party to go to and I’m glad to see the sun is shining.  The girls will be off to Sunday school in about an hour or so and then what I would like to do is play in my craft room. But I think my husband would like me to go to Home Depot to look at some stuff with him. Hmmmmm tough decision, I think everyone knows that I’d rather sit here in my jammies with my coffee and craft. We’ll see…

So today’s card is for Kaitlyn that is turning three. *Happy Birthday* I got this Craft Lounge acrylic stamp at Scrapfest. She kinda comes in pieces…her legs are seperate so you can choose what style of leotards. She has two upper halfs one with her arms up or on her hips. You can also keep her top plain or give her stripes or hearts. Then she comes with a bunch of party accessories like balloons, cake, a girft, cupcake etc. So many variations.   Easy to match  everything up because it’s acrylic.

The sticker is from Dollarama, the ribbon Michaels, some dew drops and I used my oval nesties to frame her. The jagged background paper I got from Sheila‘s with some  square envelopes  I bought. Again the paper is from a DCWV paper pack that I’ve  had forever.  I was having second thoughts about getting this stamp set but after using it and the endless possibilites, I’m really glad I did.

Have a great day and enjoy the rest of this long weekned. Thanks for stopping by.

Splash Pad Layout

Filed under: Scrapbook Layouts — angiebaker @ 12:17 pm

Good morning, hope everyone’s long weekend is off to a good start. I have some clients coming today and other then that not to much else going on. I haven’t actually had the time to do a layout in so long. Cards are so much quicker but I am falling a bit behind on my scrapbooking. This is from last summer when the girls and I went to Storybook gardens and they played around in the splash pad. They love this, I think they’d be quite happy to go there everyday. I think almost everything I used was from a Stampin up scrappin kit with the odd tiny embellishment added here and there.

This is my youngest, Cory and she has always and still loves water. So here she can go completely nuts and splash her little heart away. It’s kinda hard to see but check out her expression in the “famous faces” picture. She’ll often do silly stuff like that. A real goof ball lol.

Have a great day and enjoy the long weekend.  I’ll show you my Birthday card that were attending tomorrow. Bye…
