Sara K

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 12:59 pm

Good morning everyone.  The weekend is just about here, and it’s a long one for some of us. Me, being my own boss, I think I’ll take it 😉

So today’s card is a Sara K stamp that I borrowed from my friend Kim, who happens to be coming over tonight for me to do her hair and then were gonna stamp. I’m looking forward to that.  I coloured Sara with my Copics, which my sister finally got her first set this week. She’s so happy, and when we get together in a couple weeks it’s just that many more colours I get to play with.

The designer paper is from the spring DCWV paper packs, I used some orange Bazzil bling cs to frame her and my Martha Stewart border punch with my Cuttlebug embossing strips, added a few pearls and voila.

Well I’m off to the gym, I missed Wed. morning so I must go today. Plus I bought two tubs of the really, really good ice cream at No Frills yesterday, mmmmmm Rolo is delicious. Must work extra,  extra hard.

Have a fabulous weekend!

Melinda reading

Filed under: Cards, The Town Scrapper — angiebaker @ 1:57 pm

Good morning everyone, I had a long night. My youngest woke up three times last night. The last time when the thunder started.  She just turned three and really does not like thunder. She say’s  “I hate Funder” cute, but not so cute at 5 am. Oh well she snuggled in with me and it was all good, except for the odd foot in the gut and elbow in the face. The worst I think is when her hair just ever so slightly tickles my nose,   OMG the biggest tickle ever!!!

So anyway my card today is a Whiff of Joy stamp I got from Phebe’s at The Town Scrapper in Petrolia. Who I ‘ve been a guest designer for for the last couple months, but I’ll be permanently staying on as part of the design team!!  I’m very excited and really happy to be a part of the team. Also some excting news, she’s going to be coming out with a new stamp line in September so keep watching for details.

Anyway back to the stamp…I’ve been reading quite a bit lately so I felt this stamp was very appropriate. I coloured her with my Copics quite awhile ago so there’s really not much shading to her, but anyhoo. I used my scalloped circle nesties to cut her out. I added some chipboard buttons and some hemp twine, white cord, a pearl  and three little gems in the corner to finish it off.

Have a terrific day. Happy stamping or reading 😉

Whiff of Joy

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 12:40 pm

Good morning, what a dull week. Good for stamping though. I actually started working on a scrapbook layout last night. I haven’t done any pages in what seems like forever. Cards are so much quicker, but I really need to scrap more. I’m falling further and further behind in both my girls books. Even the dog has a book, lol.

This card is from ages ago and I looked back through my blog to see if I had posted it before and I didn’t see it so here she is.  Melinda helping angel, if she’s gonna do the dishes she can come to my place any time. Not too much to this card cause the Daisy Bucket deigner paper did it all for me.

I coloured Melinda using my Copic markers, cut her out using my friends deckled edged Nesties, used my MS border punch to add a bit of “lace” trim and finished it with three teeny tiny heart gems.

Just a quick post cause I’m off to the gym. Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Stamping.

Another sister’s Birthday

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 12:48 pm

Good morning, how’s everyone? Well today is my other sister’s Birthday. Happy Birthday Donna. This is the sis that totally got me started in this scrapbooking hobby, which now has become my obsession. We both LOVE this craft sooooooo much! Were always trading and borrowing each other’s stuff. It’s just too bad we don’t live a bit closer. But me and the girls will be going to her place in August for a little vacation. So while the kiddies sleep, we’ll be scrappin. 😉

I used this Whiff of Joy stamp I think it’s called Melinda with Muffin basket. (Who puts a candle in muffins though?)Anyway, I coloured her with my copics. Which hopefully today, she’ll have some of her very own.  Maybe her hubby scored a deal on Ebay and they’re on there way right now…Wouldn’t that be a great present!! 🙂

I used my labels Nesties to cut her out and inked the edges a bit. I framed the the pp with some yellow and blue using my Martha Stewart Border punch. And added some chipboard that I got from the $ store and a Stampin Up Birthday sentiment rub on.

Tah dah, done.  I gave her card last week when I saw her so I wouldn’t have to pay extra postage. Sometimes they get a bit heavy you know. Plus it was better to give it to her in person. And  a terrific person she is.  She’s  an awesome big sister and I love her so much. Big hugs and smooches.

Have a great Birthday Donna!!!

Happy Birthday Judy!

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 5:10 pm

Well today is my sisters Birthday, *waving * hi Judy” I saw her yesterday at our family reunion so I gave her the card then. I used this Whiff of Joy stamp, Melinda with Bouquet and coloured her in with my copic markers. I know shocking eh, my water colour crayons have truly been abandoned. Someday I’ll use them again but for now I’m still lovin my Copics. I added crystal laquer to her wings like I always do,  and  my hubby pointed out that that stuff probably would be so good for the feathers, ha ha… he’s really funny 😉

The nice glittery paper I used came from…$ store. I know, can you believe it. It also came with another sheet of brown with white and teal polka dots. Love this colour combo. The ribbon also is a $ store find and I dug out my tag curler and added the Happy Birthday tag.  The flowers I got from SGD and the teal paper flowers I made using my alcohol inks and a sizzix flower die cut. Added a teal pearl brad and another brad with a jewelry spacer.

And voila, I’m pretty happy how it turned out. And I actually gave it away, and on time!   To someone so special to me.    Hope you have a terrific Birthday Judy!

your lil sis, moi. xoxo

Swiss Pixies

Filed under: Cards, The Town Scrapper — angiebaker @ 12:13 pm

Good morning. This is my second card for Miss Phebe over at The Town Scrapper. I used Heidi from CC Designs, soon as I saw her and Gretel I had to have them both, So I do. Hee hee. I’ll post Gretel another time.

Anyway,  I chose to colour Heidi in various shades of teals using my Copics and I’m absolutely in love with the colours, aren’t you? Especially with the glittery teal paper I picked up from the $ store, yup. They really do have some terrific stuff, you just gotta look. And when they do, grab it cause sometimes they may not have the next time you go. So I tend to stock up, or hoard I guess may be a better term. lol So back to the card, the rest of the paper is from Phebe’s and the flowers are again from my friends stash. I added some brads and jewelry spacers in the middle of them. I’m really liking that  look right now. I also put some crystal lacquer on the wings with some glitter and added some glitter “hi-lites” to her hair with a couple teeny tiny gems as well to the pig tails. Lots and lots of glittery things.

Thank you again Phebe for letting me a part of your team and having me as Guest Designer, I had alot of fun creating for you 🙂

Hope you have a fantastic weekend, thanks for stopping by.

Wild Sprouts

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 12:21 pm

Good morning. Looks like a nice sunny day out there. Hopefully it warms up a bit compared to the last few days. I do like having the windows open rathen then having the AC on.

Anyway, todays card is with this Greeting Farm stamp I picked up from The Town Scrapper .  Isn’t Dahlia adorable with those big bright eyes. I coloured Dahlia in with my Copic markers cut her out with my circle nesties and layered and pop dotted the image to really make it stand out. I used some more of that glittery ribbon I picked up from the $ store. The paper I got from SGD and the polka dotted flowers are from  my friends stash. I used some jewelry spacers I picked up from Michaels and the other hardware is from Stampin up. I think that’s everything.

I’m really happy how she turned out. Both my sister’s Birthdays’ are coming up this month so we’ll see who gets her. Or I’ll create something entirely new, which is probably more likely.  We’ll see how much time I have, lol.

Have a great day, I need to get ready to do a perm, agh…I really don’t like doing perms there my least favourite part of hairdressing. Oh well can’t like everything can we. Thanks for stopping by.

Humble pie

Filed under: Cards, The Town Scrapper — angiebaker @ 3:13 am

Good evening, I’m just about to go off to bed and decided I would post tonight rather then in the morning so I’m not as rushed. So here it is…

This card is part of my DT duties (privileges) over at The Town Scrapper, I believe this stamp is a one of kind that Phebe is carrying as her own line called Humble Pie.  Most of the products are from Phebe’s. I coloured the image with my copics added a bit of glitter here and there.  I stamped the wings a second time, cut them out and added a touch of zip dry just to the edge and lifted the wings a bit. I also put some crystal laquer on them with a bit of  glitter. And Voila.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday Cory

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 3:57 pm

Hello everyone, Today is my youngest daughter’s third Birthday, wow how times flies!! I can’t really believe she’s three. I woke up this morning to Cory sitting in bed with me quietly playing with her new Barbie dolls, hair all disarray (that a word right?)  and her Party hat on.  Soooo cute!  I wished her a Happy Birthday and she said like she often does, “I know” lol.

Yesterday we had her party and thank you Mother Nature for giving us such a nice sunshiney day. We had a great day lots of fun, lots of food, and lots of new toys. Thanks everybody for coming to make her day so special.

So todays card is for Cory.  This little cutie holding “3” balloons, which I thought was perfect.  Coloured her with my copics, pop dotted the balloons and added some crystal laquer. Cut out the image with my rectangle nesties. The puffy sticker I picked up from the $ store and tah dah, done. Oh and the glittery ribbon is also from the $ store, I love this stuff I may need to go back and pick up some more.

Have a great day, were off to play the day away 🙂
