Meet Gertie

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 6:24 pm

Hello everybody, enjoying this grey damp weather. It’s weird sometimes I look out and the sun is shining but there’s still some dark clouds that look like rain is not that far away. Anyway I’ve been spending my morning doing a few clients and house cleaning.  I think this is the first time I have sat down today. But how rewarding that the place is all nice and clean.

Today’s card I finished weeks ago for a girlfriend *hi Renee*, and I didn’t get it in the mail in time.  So I think by now it’s safe to post it. This is one of the stamps I picked up when I was at the Bella store in Markham a few weeks ago, her name is Gertie, from the Lulu collection. Isn’t she priceless. I’m lovin the teal and chocolate combo lately, and this paper I picked up from the $ store worked perfectly.

I use my copics to colour her in and my scalloped oval nesties to cut her out, mounted on some really glittery paper I picked up from $ giant. They have a wonderful aisle of scrappin goodies. Added a few flowers with some brads and some frilly ribbon aslo from Bella and used my tag curler to add the Happy Birthday sentiment.

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Chow Bella’s 😉

CC Designs

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 7:04 pm

Good afternoon, How’s everybody doin?  We have been on a bit of vacation this past week and ended our summer holidays at a friends cottage in Port Stanley.  Unfortunately there were high levels of bacteria levels in the water so it was swim at your own risk. My poor girls were so excited to go swimming but mom would only let them go in up to their knees 😦  boooo. I think they had lots of fun anyway playing in the sand and collecting shells. Which I also want to wash…lol

So anyway I made this card for our friends to thank them for having us. I stamped this perfect little beach babe from CC Designs and coloured her in with my Copics. The PP if you look closely has little sunglasses, pails, lounge chairs, all kinds of beachy things so  I had to use it. I think it is from a DCWV pack I picked up ages ago. I used a corner punch on the blue and added a couple clear dew drops. The sentiment is from Amy R stamps.  I found this bucket in my stash that I got from a crop one time. I think it is from Sizzix, and I added a few little gems.

Have a “SUN-sational” Day 😉

I’m Back Baby!!

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 12:36 pm

Hello there, I’ve been on a little Vay-kay at my sister’s place visiting with my awesome nephews who kept my girls happy and entertained the entire time. That is until they had to go to bed…first time in a looong time that they’ve slept in the same room. It was a bit trying at first cause one was scared and the other said she was homesick, but eventually they crashed and fell asleep. The second night they were out like a light.

Then we made the 2hour drive back to London, you would think that they would have fallen asleep after such a fun packed week at grandma’s and Grandpa’s and then from there on to my sister’s with late nights and swimming in the pool for hours…but Nooooope! But they were good they just watched movies. Cory my youngest had some long “blinks” when we were on Adelaide but that’s minutes from our house so at that point it didn’t really matter.

Anyway my card today is very simple cause I didn’t want to take away from the paper. Which is simple as well but I really like the bright colours. I coloured the CC designs fairy stamp with my   and cut her out with my Nestabilites. Iadded some glitter here and there and two tiny gems to here ate-nae.

Must run now I have some clients coming and I’m still in my jammies. I had a great time at my sister’s house she fed me really well, probably too well 😉 and we spent our evenings colouring and drinking mojito’s. What more could a girl ask for.  Thanks Donna for a fabulous visit, we all had a lot of fun!!!

We Love you, xoxo.

Welcome to our first Humble Pie Stamps blog hop!! We are so excited to introduce the new SWEETIE PIE line, which will be available at The Town Scrapper,  and the Humble Pie Design Team to you!!

I have been designing for Phebe since June as a guest designer and then was asked to stay on as part of the Humble Pie Design Team, lets just say I was pretty ecstatic!! I love stamping and playing with new stamps and creating in general, so this is lots of fun for me. Thanks again Phebe for this wonderful opportunity 🙂

So onto the card, I coloured “Ellie” using my copic markers and matched it to some fun American Crafts paper. I thought all the swirls went well with this little elf like girl. I added a couple flowers, some bling and these awesome “made with love” charms that I scooped up from Bella last week when I was there. I finished the card with a Just the Edge cardstock strip from Bazzill paper and added a few more glittery gems.

Isn’t she adorable!!!

You can custom make your brads using paper, cardstock, fabric, denim, silk, fleece, aluminum foil  the possibilites are endless.

I used Heidi an adorable little “Swiss Pixie” from CC designs, coloured her in with many shades of teal Copic markers. Added some glitter and gems here and there and some great glittery paper I found at the $ store. The middle of the flower I covered the largest brad daddy shell, (yes, that’s what there called. lol)  with the matching paper and Voila! Matchy, matchy. Me Likey!! Don’t you?

Humble Pie News! Sneak Peeks soon!

Filed under: Uncategorized — angiebaker @ 6:24 pm
Phebe, aka The Town Scrapper ‘s new Humble Pie stamp line, “Sweetie Pie” will be released very soon!  I am so excited, thrilled, and honoured to be a part of this new venture!  The illustrator/stamp designer, Heather Hambleton, draws the CUTEST images!  Here’s a little bit about Humble Pie Stamps’ newest creative force:

“Hi there! My name is Heather Hambleton and I have recently started designing stamps for a line called Humble Pie! I live in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, and I am a former Beal Art student.  I have been drawing since I was old enough to hold up a pencil. Drawing is definitely what I would call my one true passion in life!  But when I’m not drawing I can be found at the gym or reading a good book. I am super excited to be designing for Phebe at ‘The Town Scrapper as she is just such an exceptionally amazing lady!  Hopefully all goes well and you will like my images as much as she does!! ”
-Heather H

All of the Humble Pie Designers (including me, of course) will begin sneak peeks on Monday, August 24!!!  You won’t want to miss that!

So, thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to check back on Monday!  You’ll be glad you did!

Mwah Bella

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 12:54 pm

Good morning my friends. I have been away over the weekend and have been playing catch up with my clients so I haven’t had the time to post til now. On Sunday it was our 6th wedding anniversary so my hubby and I headed off to Vaughn shopping for the day. Awww, poor me huh? lol  We started at IKEA, and Mark   commented that it was the fastest shopping experience we’ve ever had there, cause I like to look at EVERYTHING. The display floor, the retail, etc, etc. But I had never been to the mall that they had there so I wanted to make sure I had plenty of time for that, so I hustled 🙂

So then we went to the mall and as we approached we saw this really big roller coaster? I was confused when Mark said don’t you see the mountain…It’s Canada’s Wonderland. I remember  CW being out in the middle of nowhere, kinda in the country away from the city. Well it’s now in the heart of this shopping centre. It’s crazy how everything is built up around it. Haven’t been in about 8 years, oh How times have changed.

In the mall I picked up a couple of good deals here and there. They did have a craft store called DeSerres, which did have some scrapbooking and stamping stuff. So I got a few goodies and then when I was about to pay they had a clearance on beads for jewelry making so I scooped up 7 strands of those for .99 a piece. Score! lol I need my bud Kim now to teach me how to make the stuff 😉

Then my sweetheart of a husband surprised me by taking me to the Bella store. 🙂 Before we left he map quested it and it was only a short 15 -20 min drive from the mall. They had tons of stuff on sale 40-75% off and grab bag deals. It was awesome!! Perfect way to finish our shopping trip.

So from that trip I bought this Mwah Bella and made my hubby a belated anniversary card. Isn’t she cute blowing a kiss over her shoulder. If only I looked like her from behind. Not after eating the treats we had from Rocky mountain, OMG that store is crazy!!! Mark got a stick of marsh mellows covered in chocolate, caramel and m&m’s. I chose a double chocolate chunk cookie with caramel and reeces pieces.  I have to wipe the drool off my keyboard just thinking of it. Best cookie EVER!!!! AND there’s a Rocky Mountain right here in LONDON! Uh-OH…

So on that note I need to run and get my curvy butt to the gym. 😦

Chow Bella’s, MWAH!

Rakle girl

Filed under: Cards, The Town Scrapper — angiebaker @ 12:57 pm

Good morning, this was the card I made for my g/f  yesterday. This was a Rakle stamp I picked up from Phebe’s I think one of my very first trips to Petrolia.  It’s two stamps, one of the front and one from behind. Kinda cute I thought. So I coloured her in with my copic markers shortly after I took the certification course and used all my new knowledge about blending and tricks and what not. I think she turned out pretty good.  She’s one of my fave’s.  I used some American Crafts paper, some AC ribbon with a flower and a bit of bling, (of course) and voila.

I added some flower soft to her bouquet of flowers with a few small pearls and added my Happy Birthday sentiment to the other side.

Hope you all have a great day, my bestfriend is visiting from BC so I’ll be MIA for the next couple days. Till then…

Wild Things

Filed under: Cards, The Town Scrapper — angiebaker @ 1:20 pm

Good morning everyone, hopefully you all enjoyed your long weekend. I did, now it’s back to work. At least it’s a short week, and a busy one.

My girlfriend Kim, came over on friday night with some goodies from Phebe  for us to play with. So we stamped and chatted, didn’t get much colouring done, but we had lots of fun just catching up. Today happens to be her Birthday, so I don’t want to post her card til after she gets it.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM!!!   Hope you have a fantastic day!!

So these are some cute little cards I made up with the Wild Things set, from The Greeting Farm. There’s one more image of a bird that I didn’t use and a bunch of different sentiments. Very Cute!!  You can get these from The Town Scrapper in Petrolia along with many other adorable sets.

All of the card bases are 3.25 x 3.25, so they were quick to whip together, I coloured all the images with my Copics and added some bling here and there, and some flock to the bear’s chest and ears. I think she’s my favourite.

Have a great day, and send Kim some Happy Birthday wishes her way 🙂
