Class lastnight.

Filed under: Classes, Scrappin' Great Deals — angiebaker @ 8:24 am

Good morning ladies. Lastnight I taught a class out at SGD using the Spellbinders borders and pendants, and we also played a bit with some alcohol inks. These are the cards we did.

Just a quick post today cause I’m off and running to the gym. 😦 I would much rather stay home in my jammies, drink my coffee and play with my new stamps I picked up lastnight…but after eating my butter tart, 320 calories (I know ridiculous eh) and watching Biggest Loser I feel a bit guilty.

Hope you all have a fantastic day.

Happy Birthday Malcolm

Filed under: Cards, The Town Scrapper — angiebaker @ 12:08 pm

Todays card is for one of my daughter’s little friends that turned five yesterday. This little fella LOVES dinosaurs. He probably knows more facts about them then I do, actually I KNOW he does. I can’t even pronounce some of them lol.

So hopefully the rain holds off because I know his parents have gone to a lot of work preparing for this dinosaur adventure. I believe there is going to be a dinosaur dig and even the possibility of a volcano. How cool is that!! His mom is a good friend of mine and she’s very talented  and creative,  AND also a scrapbooker 🙂

So when one of my friends stamped off some of these guys for me I knew exactly who they would be for. I think it’s a paper makeup stamp but I’m not definitely sure. She got it from Phebe’s,  on our last road trip. I coloured this guy in with my copics trimmed him out carefully and “popped” him up.  I also added a little crystal lacquer to his eyes and teeth.  I stamped my grass onto the DCWV designer paper coloured it with my copics and popped some of it up to add some dimension. Added a little hemp twine and the sentiment, which again I think is paper make up. And ta dah there we have it. It was fun to do a boys card, I typically do all girl stuff. So it was a nice change.

So fingers crossed that it doesn’t rain until after the party.

Hope everyone has a Dynomite weekend!!  😉 lol

Rock star Anya

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 7:45 am

Good morning< hope you all had a nice weekend. I didn’t do too much but I did get a girls night out for my girlfriends 40th BD celebration. Happy Birthday again Lori!!  We went to Milestones in Masonville which I’ve never been to before.  I also had my first Belinni, I don’t know if that’s how you spell it but it was DELICIOUS!! So I had three 🙂 Also some yummy shrimp and the BEST white chocolate cheesecake I have EVER had. It was sooo rich I didn’t even finish it, which has Never happened before. Maybe it was all the Belinni’s, lol

Anyway this  is the card I made for my friend. I got this fabulous paper from  that great little store in Mildmay I was telling you a while back. So I coloured my little Anya girl with some rockin pink and black hair cut her out with my nesties.  The sentiment was cut out with my sizzix alphabet on some silver mirry paper. I added some white flower soft to her boa and Ta Dah!!

Anyway gotta run, I’m off to the gym again to work off my cheesecake. It was totally worth it. 😉

Phebe http://humblepiethetownscrapper.blogspot.com/

Heather Hambleton is the illustrator for all of the Humble Pie Sweetie Pie images. Heather is an uber talented artist! Her images are the cutest! She tells us she has been drawing ever since she was old enough to hold a pencil. We we are so happy to have her as part of the Humble Pie Design Team!

Here’s what Heather had to say…

Hi there! My name is Heather Hambleton and I have recently started designing stamps for a line called Humble Pie! I live in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, and I am a former Beal Art student. I have been drawing since I was old enough to hold up a pencil. Drawing is definitely what I would call my one true passion in life! But when I’m not drawing I can be found at the gym or reading a good book. I am super excited to be designing for Phebe’s new HUMBLE PIE stamp line at ‘The Town Scrapper as she is just such an exceptionally amazing lady! Hopefully all goes well and you will like my images as much as she does!!
-Heather H

So, welcome Heather to the world of stamping, paper crafts, and card making!
All Humble Pie stamps are NOW available for purchase only at the Town Scrapper!

I got to play with Maggie the witch. Isn’t she cute?!! I coloured her in with my copics and then trimmed her out carefully leaving just a touch of white. All of the designer paper is from Spooky Town by Imaginisce.  Added some stars that I cut out using mirry paper from a cuttlebug die. I also added some mirry paper as my “frame” on my card. Of course I needed to add some of these dark flowers that Phebe had sent to me. Who would thought black flowers…but they work, I love em!!  And with some jewelry spacers and silver brads, I really like the way it pops. I think the sentiment is from CC designs.

So there we have it. Onto the next “blop”…Tricia

Halloween Treat Bag

Filed under: Classes, Scrappin' Great Deals — angiebaker @ 8:49 am

I have been busy playing with my new CC designs stamps, aren’t they adorable? I think so cause I don’t make a lot of Halloween cards but yet I bought four stamps with this theme. They were just too cute to pass by. So I may not make cards for this occasion but a loot bag,..for sure!!  My girls love these bags that I have made, and there’s not even any candy in them yet. lol

So I’m going to be doing a class making these treat bags, (I’ll show you the boy treat bag another day) . At SGD in October,… I think Sat. the 24th in the morning.  That hasn’t been confirmed for sure yet. If you’re interested check out Sheila’s under crops and classes and come make four loot bags with me.

Hope you can join me and be sure to check back to see the other goodies we’ll be making.

Have a great day!

I just noticed I forgot and m on my blog address, lol. I thought I was doing pretty good with my blogging adding borders and text to my photo’s. I guess I was due to have a flub cause  I can’t figure out how to edit it without starting over so I’m just gonna leave it. 😦

Gotta run I have clients coming and I’m still in my jammies.

Bye for now.

Humble Pie

Filed under: Cards, The Town Scrapper — angiebaker @ 8:39 am

Good morning everyone. Hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was pretty uneventful, I went through my girls clothes switching the seasonal stuff. My youngest who is three is getting so tall she’s kinda skipping some of the size 3 pants and going right into 4. Which my other daughter who is five, has just grown out of.  Anyway I  did lots of organizing and such, even my craft room. My hubby made some new shelves to hold my wood mounted stamps and there great. Plus friends of ours got rid of this coat rack/ shelf type thing so I have that up as well. I’ll take some picks some time and post them.

Todays card is from Phebe‘s Humble Pie line, that will be available at The Town Scrapper very, very soon. I coloured Ellie with my copics, trying to keep her looking kinda goth but didn’t want it to look too dark and grim so I added the light pink to make it pop a bit. Not too many goth girls where pink though, lol. Anyway, I embossed  Birthday onto some silver mirry paper, added some bling that I got from the $ store and some mesh ribbon that I picked up from Scrap expo last year. The paper is from a DCWV Glitter Stack.

The release date to this new stamp line will be Friday Sept. 18th. We’ll be doing another blog hop with some blog candy so be sure to stop back and check it out. Especially because we have some new Halloween images.

Have a great day.

The Greeting Farm

Filed under: Cards, The Town Scrapper — angiebaker @ 8:42 am

Good Morning everyone. My daughter has already asked me when we’re going to have a home day and it’s only the first week back to school. And it was a short one…should I be worried?  lol I know she likes school  I think she just needs to get back into the routine of things, just like her mother. Wow do those couple of hours in the afternoon fly by. I’m looking forward to next year when she’ll be going full days but then my little one will be starting JK and we’ll being doing it again anyway. I’ll be going to the school three times a day…maybe I won’t be looking forward to next year.

Anyway todays card is from a set  from The Greeting Farm. It also comes with a little farm girl and some sentiments. I picked this up from The Town Scrapper . I coloured this little guy in with my copics matching it to my paper. I think a friend gave it to me so I’m not sure what company it is. I used my nestabilities to cut and mount it, pop dotted it to give a lift. A few buutons with some $ store hemp and a few tear drops that I picked up from a fabulous little store in Mildmay. That’s where I’m from if you’ve ever heard of it. It’s just outside of Walkerton. Patti the store owner is such a sweetheart and she has tons of great things, including Copics!!

Well I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend.

Happy stamping!!

I-Top class

Filed under: Cards, Classes, Scrappin' Great Deals — angiebaker @ 9:33 am

Good morning ladies, hope everyone had a great long weekend. We didn’t go anywhere but did spend lots of time outside and swimming in our neighbours pool. My eldest daughter is doing really well swimming on her own. She can swim the width of the pool all by herself. I’m so proud of her. My youngest thought the water was a bit too cold for her so she stayed mostly on the deck, “Instructing”  us what to do next. Anyway, it was nice to be swimming all together, including my hubby. I don’t even mind that my front lawn is torn up waiting for him to finish the landscaping that he has started.  😉 No really.

Today’s card is one of the cards I’m doing as part of my I-top class for that I’m teaching this Sat. the 12th out at Scrapping Great Deals. I’m doing a Spellbinders and Alcohol Inks class in the afternoon so if you’re free come spend the day with me.  For more information go here, under crops and classes.

I stamped up this handsome golfer from the High Hopes line and coloured him in with my copics. Cut him out with my new labels 8 spellbinders. Using the I-topper,  I made my own matching brad using some white paper that I ran through my cuttlebug with the bubble embossing folder to make the dimples on my golf ball. Then used the largest brad daddy, (yes that’s what there called) to make my brad.  There are three different sizes of brads that you can make, this one being the largest, about the size of a loonie.  Large 28mm, Medium 22mm, and Small 16mm.

You can coordinate the brads to match whatever project you are working on. A card, a layout, altered items, home decor, the possibilities are endless, and so are the materials you can use.  Designer papers is the obvious one, but you can use denim, silk, felt, quilting fabric,  corduroy, fleece, velour, candy wrappers, photos, toile, newspaper, foreign currency, tissue paper, I think I have said enough.

So if your curious and want to see more, or try the tool in my class before making the purchase. Come join me at SGD Sat. Sept 12th at 12:30, and we’ll do a couple projects. And the class is only $10, now thats’ a deal!

Have a great day, I need to go now and help my daughter prep for her first day back to school. It’s SK for her this year so I need to get her psyched up to go. Hopefully there will be no tears this year…from either one of us. 🙂
