Garage sale goodies

Filed under: Cards, Scrappin' Great Deals — angiebaker @ 8:28 am

Good morning stampers. Todays card I made shortly after the SGD garage sale and almost everything I used on the card (minus the MS punch) is from my loot that I snatched up. I got a ton of stamps that I have not had the chance to colour yet but I will get to them someday.

Anyway, this little girl is from High Hopes. Isn’t she cute?!!  Reminds me of my oldest daughter. I coloured her with my copics and the paper is from a Teen DCWV paper pack. I used my one of my Label nestabilities to cut her out and softly inked around the edges with a light pink before taking it out of the nestie.

The hearts are a Sizzix die that I also scooped up. I added a little white gel pen to make it look like stitching. The buttons I think were from Bella and I added a little glittery thread that came from the $ store.

Now we just need to have a sleepover and I have the invitation done. lol

Have a great day!

I know, I know. I’ve been a bad blogger. I was doing ok, then I fell off the wagon. Last thing I blogged about was going to Scrapfest, and it was awesome!! Lotsa of goodies, and lots of women, my goodness it was busy!!

My friend Lori and I had a great time, every dinosaur, dragon type lizard thing I saw I pointed it out to her and she usually bought it, lol. Her having two boys, and myself having two girls it was kinda fun shopping for the other.

I bought a few stamp here and there, a bit of paper that I needed like a hole in the head, plus it was one of those “slab” ones so it was heavy to carry around. Listen to me complain, hee hee. We met up with Andrea and Kraftin Kimmie and headed to Red Lobster, anyone that knows me well will know that this was my perfect day!!!!

Seafood and scrapbooking, what more could a girl ask for…wait…a warm molten lava chocolate chip cookie…with whip cream, mmmmm. YUM!!!

Now that’s the Perfect Day!! lol

So anyhoo, todays card was for our friends little boy who turns 5 today,  “Happy Birhtday Ben.”  I used one of the new stamps from Stampavie that Sheila is carrying at SGD and is also available in this months card kit that Andrea and Kimmie put together.

I coloured him in using none other then my copics…that’s all I ever use anymore. I’m truly addicted!!!

Inked around the edges, added some buttons and twine. The sentiment is from Just Rite and I used my spellbinders to cut it out. Pop dotted some things here and there to add some dimension and there we have it.

I think the Birthday boy looked at it for a few seconds and then moved on to the gift like most children do. lol Oh well, I think a few  mom’s appreciated  it 🙂

Did you know that this Saturday is National Scrapbooking day…were you aware that there even was such a great Day!!!

Well there is and if you’re free Scrappin Great Deals  is offering make n’ takes, door prizes and snacks to celebrate such an event.  The Grand prize…a Big Shot~ how awesome is that?!!!

Drop by if you’re in the area it’s gonna be a lot of fun, I hope I can make it.

Have a great day!

Scrapfest here we come…

Filed under: Cards, The Town Scrapper — angiebaker @ 9:34 am

Good morning, only one more sleep til Scrapfest. I can’t wait. Hopefully I can sleep good tonight so I’m well rested for a day of shopping. My girlfriend and I are heading out tomorrow morning for the day and I think were both looking  forward to a day just for us.

Tomorrow I’ll be taking a bunch of cards to Phebe from The Town Scrapper that I have worked on for her for Scrapfest showing off her new line of Victoria case stamps. If you’re at Scrapfest be sure to stop by her booth, she has loads of goodies,  and say “hi” to me if you see me. I love meeting people who read my blog, I’m often surprised that people do. lol.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and have fun at Scrapfest if you’re going, I know I will 🙂

Whiff of Joy

Filed under: Cards, Scrappin' Great Deals — angiebaker @ 8:14 am

Good morning stampers & scrappers. Only 3 more sleeps til Scrapfest in Kithchener, On. I can’t wait. I’ve been looking forward to it for sometime now and saving my pennies,…well trying too. lol

Also this weekend Andrea and I are teaching a copic class at SGD on Sunday and then we are invited to see a friend who’s home visiting from California with her new baby.  Her parents live in Markham so it could be a very busy weekend.

So todays card is for her and baby “Rory”. I used this Whiff of Joy stamp,  isn’t it precious. I kept the colours soft to match the paper which is from SEI Juliette Under the Stars, and First Kiss. I love this paper I have used it on a few projects now. One more that is in progress which is a wedding card for my mom to give to my cousin…(I didn’t forget mom). lol

I’ll post that one when I get it finished.

I used my Martha Stewart lace border punch along the grey paper, Added a couple of silky flowers with a jewelry spacer, a piece of satin polka-dotted ribbon and a few pearls at the bottom.  (all of the items I used on todays card are  available at SGD)

I think that’s all. Anyway have a great day, and enjoy the sunshine.

Dressy Anya

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 1:17 pm

Hi there, just a quick post today. Many things to do, but I don’t feel like doing any of them. I seem to have caught my girls cold and was up many times with my youngest, talking in her sleep…well more like yelling.  So to say the least I’m a bit tired.  My husband actually suggested I go have a nap…what?? Don’t hear those words very often so maybe I’ll take advantage of his sweetness and lie down for a bit.

Todays stamp is from the Greeting Farm. I love these teen Anya girls. Kept it very simple, added a bit of ribbon from Stampin Up and the Sentiment is from JUSTRITE  stampers. I used my scalloped circle nesties to frame it, and pop dotted it.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your weekend.

April’s copic class

Filed under: Cards, Classes, Scrappin' Great Deals — angiebaker @ 8:07 am

Hi there guys, this month’s Scrappin Great Deals copic class is focusing on animal skin. I have coloured Dwight the dragon from High Hopes with some scally looking skin and Bradley the bear with soft fur. I tried anyway, it definitely takes some practice. So  Andrea and I are going to share some tips with you. But mostly practice, practice, practice.

If you’re interested in the class you can see the details here.

Hopefully you can come join us and if you do take the class you get 20% off any copics of your choice. So what are you waiting for…come have some fun 🙂

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Easter

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 12:33 pm

Hello everyone. Did you all get your fill of chocolate? What a gorgeous weekend we had, I love it. However my girls keep asking if they can go swimming. lol

Todays cards were for my girls for Easter. The little Bunny girl is a digital image from Whimsie Doodles. Isn’t she cute,

I also used her on a card for a friend that had a baby girl on Wed. Congratulations again Renee and family 🙂 on # 3

The paper is from Stampin up. I used my scalloped rectangle nesties to frame her and then a border punch also from SU to frame that. Added a few pearls here and there and used my Martha Stewart border punch along the bottom.

I haven’t seen the baby yet, so hopefully mom is too busy to check my blog, If not *hi Renee* lol

Take care and thanks for stopping by.
