Filed under: Cards, Classes, Scrappin' Great Deals — angiebaker @ 8:07 am

Now that I have your attention Scrappin Great Deals is having an incredible sale…like Sheila always does, but this one is in celebration of Canada’s Birthday. She is giving 15% off store wide!!  How could anyone resist a sale, I know I can’t especially when they have all these new items coming in daily. It’s ridonkulous!! lol

So while you’re over on the webpage shopping, check out some of the classes that are being offered. This is part 2 to the copic class. Andrea and I  do a total of four cards, this being my 2nd. The other is already posted. And Andrea???  Hers will be posted soon….right girlfriend?? (woo pah!!)

This image is from Inky Antics. I typically go for the cuter images…but I do like these witty ladies, and I LOVE the sentiments that come with them. There a riot!

School is now out and summer has begun! Enjoy the rest of your week!!

Teacher’s Gift

Filed under: Uncategorized — angiebaker @ 10:29 am

Good morning parents, and paper crafters. I think many of us struggle sometimes with gift ideas to give a teacher at the end of a school year. But what do you get a teacher that has taught for 36 years, is retiring, moving…and the school she has been teaching at for the last hmmm…20 + years, is closing. Yes sadly after much debate the school board decided to close Northdale after nearly 60 years of service to the community. My husband went to that school 30 years ago,  so it’s a bit of a sad day.

So Dylan told me that Mrs. Tobin loves to go to the movies so we decided to get her a Cineplex gift card, and to go with it some popcorn. lol

I used this Karen Johnson’s digital image, thought it was most suitable and a Tim Holtz “ticket’.

The box I got from the $ store and decorated it up with lots of goodies. The black piece is an adhesive chalk board that I used my spellbinders Label to cut out and found this lovely saying on someones blog I was browsing but I forget where I saw it now.??

So with all that said, I hope you have a great day. For some of us it’s our children’s last day of school so enjoy it!! lol

Sassy Anya

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 8:18 am

Good morning friends. I had a very productive weekend getting lots of laundry done, some cleaning, a few clients, a bit of shopping and…lots of scrapbooking. I worked on 2 new projects that I’m quite pleased with. I’ll post some pictures soon. One is complete, and the other needs some embellishing which I can’t wait to get back to. I was up until 1:00 last night and could have kept going but thought I really should get to bed. Even when I went to bed the ideas in my head kept me thinking about what I could do next, lol. Ever have one of those nights?!!

Anyway, todays card is for a girlfriend of mine who is celebrating her birthday on Wednesday, I really should have this in the mail. I guess maybe I’ll hand deliver it instead.

I love this little girl, I think she’s kinda sassy and fun. Just like my friend. awww 😉

I coloured her with my copics matching the DCWV paper added a bit of flower soft to her “fur” and the sentiment is from Just rite. The corner punch is from SU.

Hope you had a good weekend too, thanks for stopping by.

Flip Flop album

Filed under: Classes, Scrappin' Great Deals — angiebaker @ 8:19 am

Hi ya stampers. This is the latest project that Ive been working on. I had a lot of fun putting this together that I am in the midst of  making another one to give to my daughter’s friend.  I’m going to be doing a class on this at Scrappin Great Deals, On Saturday July 10th from 10- 12pm. If you’re interested hop on over to SGD crops and classes.  (it’s not posted yet, but it will be soon).  Kids could probably do it as well, have a little album of a day at the beach. A cute gift too.

Check back soon, I have another project that I’m just finishing up that will also be availalbe to do at SGD.

Anyhoo, I haven’t been to the gym in about 2 weeks. So Ugh…I gotta run.

Thanks for stopping by.

Magnolia BD card

Filed under: Cards, Scrappin' Great Deals — angiebaker @ 8:07 am

Good morning stampers. Looks like a grey wet day out there today. Good day for staying inside and stamping, however I have a garage sale to prep for this weekend. Hopefully we’ll get a good turn out so that I can get rid of some stuff (mostly toys that the girls have out grown) so we can declutter. Dylan just had a birthday and Cory’s is coming up so it’s a good time of year to do this. Plus I told them, that they can have the money from what they sell….it gives them a bit more incentive to do some purging. 😉

So today’s card is this sweet Magnolia image that I got from a garage sale at SGD awhile ago.  Sheila does have another Customer Garage sale coming up on the 24th & 25th of July so speaking of purging. Get looking through your scrappin goodies and you could make some $ to buy some new goodies. I’m also going to do this, but I usually just end up spending more on other peoples stuff. It’s a viscious cycle… but I love it!!! lol

I coloured my image with copic markers. Inked around the edges a bit with some distress ink. The paper is Abbey Road, Whirlybird “Shine”. I used this same paper and colours on a card that hopefully I’ll post in the next couple of days.  I tied a bow and added a little charm I had gotten from the Bella Boutique. The flowers along the bottom are from a border punch from EK success that I added a few pearls too. To finish the sentiment was stamped on the other side of this paper and it was from an acrylic set by Marcella K.

Have a great day. Get purging…

Daughter’s BD Card

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 9:31 am

Good morning stampers. I hope everyone had a good weekend. Ours was pretty uneventful. Did yard work and lots of laundry on Saturday. Oh…and I gave my dog a bath. She’s a Bernese mountain dog that probably weighs a good 90lbs or so. She was considerably quite cooperative I was quite surprised. So now she’s very soft and loosing all kinds of fur. But she looks and feels beautiful.

So I said last week that I would post my daughter’s birthday card the next day…well it’s more like a week later but here it is. The stamp is from Imaginisce, when I saw it I thought that would be perfect for Dylan because she’s in a dolphin phase right now. I had some paper that I made using some alcohol inks so I stamped the image on it and then trimmed them out. Pop dotted them onto some paper that I had embossed with my swirly CB folder and used my new Fiskars wave border punch on. The cloud paper is from Stampin Up. With a bit of bling from the $ store and the sentiment is from Amy R  Beach sentiments.

She loved it, and I gave her the stamp so she’s been creating some stuff of her own. Maybe I’ll post some pictures of that for you. She’s a creative little girl, takes after her mommy…and daddy.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday Dylan

Filed under: Uncategorized — angiebaker @ 11:33 am

Hello there my friends. I was doing so well being consistent with my postings but then I got a little busy with some birthday prep that I fell behind. Plus my computer has been misbehaving so that didn’t help either.

My eldest daughter turned 6 yesterday,…wow where has the time gone, Seriously?!! I can’t believe how much she has grown up. Truly a girly girl as you can see by the party attire and crown.  We had a Build a Bear party on saturday with five of her little girlfriends, OMG were they ever excited!! Especially my two girls. The youngest has never been to a “BB” party and this was her first actually Build a Bear. Very exciting. lol

And with so many animals to choose from out of six girls 4 chose the Patriotic Pup (shown here in the pic) and two chose a Flowered Bunny. (I forget it’s name)  Isn’t that funny.

Anyhoo I need to run and make some lunch for the girls.I hope to post her BD card tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hope you had a great day girls!! 🙂

Sugar Nellie

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 8:14 am

Well it’s another overcast day with a chance of thunderstorms today. I’m hoping that by Sunday the rain has stopped cause it’s my eldest daughter’s 6th Birthday Party. I hope to have it outside, so fingers crossed.

Todays image is from a  company in Scotland that I wished I had some of, but I don’t want to get into international rates and shipping, blah blah blah. But OMG aren’t they friggin adorable!?!! Tracy a girl that often comes to our Copic classes was so kind to let me stamp a few, so I was in heaven. I love these girls.

This is my most favourite card that I’ve made in a while. I just love these colours together. I do think I’m going to give it to my best friend for her Birthday, who if she is looking at today’s post….surprise Happy Birthday!!! lol

Before I run I thought I’d share how I made the leaves, yup…did them myself. So you take a piece of paper maybe 2″ by 11″ and fold it in half so it is now 1″ in width. Take your paper crimper and run it through, but wait…do it on an angle. This will crimp the paper on a diagonal and create the veins of your leaf. Which you just cut free hand with some scissors to whatever size you’d like. I inked the edges of mine a bit just to give it some more depth. Pretty cool I thought. My mother in law showed me this trick and I did it as part of a make n’ take, and the ladies loved it!! Hope you do too.

Thanks for stopping by.

Greeting Farm

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 8:30 am

Good morning my friends. Today’s card is showing my “naughty” side. lol 😉

I love this paper and my stash is starting to get low.  I coloured this cute little Greeting Farm girl with my copics, inked the edges a bit with some black ink. Mounted it on some silver mirry paper. I found some black glittery paper at the $ store and used my star CB die to cut them out. The studded chain I had picked up from a garage sale. And the sentiment is from the Kraftin Kimmie line. I used my nesties to mount in on. To finish it some tiny gems to add a bit more bling.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a great day!!

Whiff of Joy

Filed under: Cards, Scrappin' Great Deals — angiebaker @ 7:53 am

Look at me posting two days in a row. lol Haven’t done that in a while.

Todays card I originally had made for a make n’ take at SGD but then decided to do something else. When you open this card it has a detachable bookmark with a perforated edge that you can just tear out. However you’ll just have to visualize it because I forgot to take a picture of the inside. lol I thought it was kinda cute and fitted this image nicely. You can get these adorable stamps at SGD.  The sentiment is one of those $1.50 wound mounted stamps from Micheals.

Not a lot to say so I’m off to get some shopping done this morning.

Thanks for stopping by.
