Wedding card

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 8:12 am

Good morning friends.

This was a card I made for my Mom to give to friends of hers that are getting married. I suggested that she could also use it as a shower card.

The embossing folder was one of my mom’s that I had borrowed and I used it on some glossy white cardstock, or left over photo paper works nicely too. Gives it a very sleek and elegant look. I also used my MS lace border punch along the bottom.

I coloured Bride Emma in with my copics and added crystal lacquer to her veil and gown and while it was wet I sprinkled glitter all over it. I Carefully trimmed her out and pop dotted her. Cut some glittery hearts out with a sizzix die and added some sheer chocolate brown ribbon.

Hope the bride liked it, my mom did. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by.

Swiss Pixies

Filed under: Cards, Scrappin' Great Deals — angiebaker @ 8:29 am

I absolutely love every Swiss Pixie. They are so adorable.

This was a  fairly simple card but I really like the results. I coloured my image with copics. Used my cuttlebug border folder to create the flowers.  Added a few pearls, and used my labels nestie to frame the sentiment.

Easy peasy 🙂

Happy Birthday Sydney

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 8:53 am

Good morning stampers. Just a quick post today cause I haven’t been to the gym all week and today I MUST go. ugh….

Todays card was for one of my daughter’s little friends who just turned five. I thought the image looked a lot like her, what a cutie with her cupcake.

I’ve seen this sketch on many cards so I thought I would give it a try. I did add a few more embellishments here and there. I like the way it turned out so I made another one the same way.

Maybe I’ll post the other one tomorrow…

Gotta run, have a great day!!

Cory’s BD card

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 8:58 am

Good morning. Summer is going by quickly, we’re already into the middle of July. Lots of stuff going on so I’m trying to stay caught up. This is my daughter’s Birthday card I made for her. The image is from the Greeting Farm that I coloured in with my copics. I used my scalloped oval nesties to cut her out and frame her twice. The patterned paper is from when I went to the  Samco Toy sale I bought this Marcella K for a $. A nice little steal 🙂

I used my Stampin Up border punch to frame the whole image and added a glittery bow using my bow bunny.

Hope you have a great day, thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday Cory

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 8:57 am

My youngest daughter celebrated her 4th birthday on Tuesday. I can’t believe how time has flown by. Before I was a parent I always remember people talking about how fast their kids grow and I was like whatever. But now that I have children of my own I totally get it, seriously where does the time go. She use to be so little…and now in the fall she’ll be going to school. It’s all snuck up on me.  All kinds of new milestones, which when I say that, she also learned to ride her bike with no training wheels last week. She’s super excited about this accomplishment. It’s so funny she talks to herself “just keep pedaling, don’t put your feet down.” “don’t go too fast” and my favourite “I’m doin it!! I’m doin it!!”

Thanks for stopping by. Try to stay cool.

Happy Canada Day!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — angiebaker @ 9:25 am

I’ve got Canada in my pocket
A little bit of history
A penny, and a nickel
And a quarter and a dime
Mean a lot to you and me
It’s more than pocket money
They’re the symbols of our land
They’re pictures of important things
For which this country stands

The beaver, oh the beaver
Is a beautiful sight to see
He’s a happy, furry animal
Like a teddy bear with teeth
He’s never ever lazy
He works all night and day
Building houses for his family
He’s got no time to play

Did your children sing this song when they were little? Maybe they still do. Thought I would share a picture from yesterday with you. Some students did these awesome sidewalk chalk drawings at the White Oaks Park. They had tons of children’s activities going on so we checked them out after being in Delaware in the morning for the parade. It was a long day but the kids had a lot of fun…and were both in bed shortly after  7:00. They asked to go to bed…that just doesn’t happen here. lol

Hope you had a great Canada Day, maybe even an extra long weekend for some of you. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by.
