Scrapfest here we come…

Filed under: Cards, The Town Scrapper — angiebaker @ 9:34 am

Good morning, only one more sleep til Scrapfest. I can’t wait. Hopefully I can sleep good tonight so I’m well rested for a day of shopping. My girlfriend and I are heading out tomorrow morning for the day and I think were both looking  forward to a day just for us.

Tomorrow I’ll be taking a bunch of cards to Phebe from The Town Scrapper that I have worked on for her for Scrapfest showing off her new line of Victoria case stamps. If you’re at Scrapfest be sure to stop by her booth, she has loads of goodies,  and say “hi” to me if you see me. I love meeting people who read my blog, I’m often surprised that people do. lol.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and have fun at Scrapfest if you’re going, I know I will 🙂

Happy Family day, hope you all enjoyed your weekend and today as well.

We’ve added a new challenge to the Humble Pie blog  which is to Showcase any other line that Phebe carries at The Town Scrapper.  So I chose today to use this Magnolia stamp that I borrowed from a girl that was at the 15hr crop a few weeks back. I don’t have any Magnolia stamps myself but I do really like this little girl holding the puppy. Isn’t she sweet.

I coloured in the image with my copics, trimmed her out very carefully not to cut off any of her hair.  Ironically, lol

I used my glittery cardstock that I found at the $ store awhile back and cut out two scalloped circles with my nesties.  I pierced around the edges and then pop dotted the entire thing.

Also when I attached the little girl I only glued her bum down and I pop dotted her head and her legs. To make it look like she was sitting back in the circle.

I used my new MS heart border punch and the DP paper is from Bo-Bunny. The sentiment is from Micheal’s that I thought would work well on a lot of cards.

There we have it my “showcase” card for the HP challenge blog.  Check out what the other designers came up with here.

Enjoy your day 🙂

Good morning stampers & scrapers 🙂

Todays card is for this weeks Humble Pie challenge. Which was a Valentine’s day themed card.

So I took Maggie coloured her with my copics, and carefully trimmed her out. I pulled out my ancient but loved coluzzle and made two hearts and embossed them with two CB folders. The ribbon is from my stash that I used my Bow easy to make . Added a button and a charm that I got from Stampin Bella back in the summer.

I used my new Martha Stewart border punch along the edge, and I just gotta say that Martha has out done herself with all these punches, they’re incredible. I love them!!

Anywho, Gotta run. Check out the rest of the design teams cards here.

Snowy February day.

Filed under: Cards, Scrappin' Great Deals, The Town Scrapper — angiebaker @ 9:31 am

Hello everybody, well the groundhog saw his shadow yesterday so they say we have six weeks left of winter…SHOCKING!! My daughter came to my bedside yesterday morning asking me to watch the news so she could see him come out of his hole. lol, she’s five. 🙂

So I still have a few Christmas cards that I haven’t posted, but there more of a winter theme. So I thought I’d post them still.  This one is from High hopes that my friend stamped off a few images for me. (*hi Renee*) You can also pick this image up from Scrappin Great Deals and The Town Scrapper.

I coloured him in with my copics added some “polar” white flower soft to the snow and some Crystal Lacquer to his goggles. A few dew drops, some American craft ribbon and a couple  snowflakes from a CB die.

The sentiment I believe I got from Micheal’s and the paper is from Imaginisce.

Hope you have a great day!

HP Challenge

Good morning everyone, well let me tell you that our 15 hr crop at SGD was fantastic. I can’t wait until the next one. Sheila hopes to have one every six weeks or so, I’ll be waiting. Watch your calendars.

I got six or seven layouts done and tons of inspiration for future layouts.

Some other excitement in my life is I will be teaching Copic Marker classes with Andrea at Scrappin Great Deals. Kimmie is so busy with her new stamp line that I have been asked to help out. Which I’m very excited and more then happy to do 🙂

Our first class together is February 20th, hope you can join us.

This week’s Humble Pie  challenge was to use five or more flowers. Well that’s easy, I love to use flowers. I decided to use these layered flowers that I had gotten from the $ store.

I coloured the image in with my copic markers and cut them out with my scalloped nesties.

The paper is from Phebe’s, the hearts are a SU punch and the stamp is from Michael’s. Perfect sentiment for this card.

Check out the  HP  blog to see what the other designers  came up with this week.  HERE

Have  a great weekend.

HP Challenge

Good morning ladies. Todays card is for the Humble Pie monochromatic challenge. I decided to use Maggie but I got rid of the flower she was holding and had her sitting in front of the christmas tree. I coloured the images in with my copic markers added some bling, stickles and a bit of crystal lacquer to the star. I pop dotted the tree and the sentiment is a rub on from Stampin Up. I used my new Martha Stewart punch that I picked up from SGD. (love it) and the paper is from a paper pack I picked up from the $ store.

Have a terrific weekend.

HP Challenge

Good morning, how’s everyone been? I have been MIA for a little while, but I think you’ll all understand. I went to my first scrapbooking retreat this past weekend and it was fabulous!!! I ‘ve never been to one before, and I can’t wait until I get the chance to go again. I didn’t realize how much prep work I would need to do. So that’s my excuse, I was getting ready all last week for my weekend away, did I mention it was just outside of Lambeth. How funny is that. If you didn’t know I live in London, that’s only about a half hour away, lol. But it was nice not to have a long car ride and if I did forget anything I could have popped home to get it.

All in all it was such a great weekend, I completed about 10 double layouts, and 3 singles. Not as much as I hoped for but I would have never gotten that much done at home. I highly suggest if you get the opportunity to go on one of these, just do it you’ll have sooo much fun. And make sure to tell me, I wanna come too 😉 hee hee.

So todays post is for the Humble Pie challenge blog. We were given the task to alter an item. I don’t do this much myself . But here’s what I came up with. I love to save containers if I think they’ll serve me a purpose. So this was an old Tim’s french vanilla cappuccino tin.  *yummy*

I covered it with some paper and added Christmas Maggie to it, that I coloured in with my copics and added some crystal lacquer to the ornaments.

Pretty simple, and I’m calling it my “Christmas Cash Stash.” I find if I keep setting some money aside for my Christmas shopping it helps. A girl can try, right?

If you’d like to see what the other designer divas came up with go here.  Humble Pie stamps are only available at the Town Scrapper and Phebe is offering a special.  Buy 1 item and get 2nd of equal or lesser value for 50% off.  Sale is on until the middle of January 2010.

Take care and have a great day!

HP Challenge

Hope you’re all keeping healthy. Whatever flu bugs are out there you don’t want to catch any of them. My entire family has been under the weather for the last few days. Lastnight was the first time I left the house since Sunday. I had to go get a few groceries and by the time I got home I was exhausted.  Anyway enough about that, just stay healthy.  Take your vitamins, wash your hands and take care of yourself 🙂

So, todays card is for the Humble Pie card challenge this week.  It was to be a circle card. So I pulled out this scalloped circle card that I bought ages ago from Stamp Art and used my nesties to create a couple of more borders.

I coloured my snowman who is from the newest release from Humble Pie, with my copics. I used some crystal lacquer just on the edges and sprinkled some chunkier glitter on to make it look like snow. I also used the crystal lacquer on the lights but there pretty small so you probably don’t see it.  The sentiment I just picked up from Michaels, one of those $1.50 acrylic sets. I love them, I got about six. lol

I popped a few snow flakes as well as the snowman and there we have it.  If you’d like to participate in this weeks challenge or just for some festive inspiration check out the rest of the design teams cards at here.

Have a great week.

Don’t forget to check out SGD.  There having an inventory blowout sale for the next couple of weeks so theres  lots of goodies for sale, DAILY!! Great prices. Get a start on that christmas shopping. 😉

HP Sketch challenge

Filed under: Cards, The Town Scrapper — angiebaker @ 8:57 am

Good morning ladies.  Here’ my DT card which was suppose to be part of the sketch challenge over at the Humble Pie blog challenge but I apparently goofed and didn’t use a HP image, Duh…my bad 😦 lol

You can see the other DT cards here.

Anyway I used Emma from CC designs and followed the sketch and here’s what I came up with.

The paper is from a Stampin Up Designer pad that I got from Kimmie and Andrea’s sale. I coloured Emma in with my copics. I added some crystal lacquer to the apple but it didn’t photograph very well. The pencil was from another piece of patterned paper that I pieced together to make it longer. The sentiment is from the Autumn Amy R sentiments.

If you would like to participate in this weeks challenge hop on over to the Humble Pie  Blog and take a peak.

Have a great day!
