HP Challenge

Filed under: Cards, The Town Scrapper — angiebaker @ 9:06 am

Good morning stampers & scrapers :)

Todays card is for this weeks Humble Pie challenge. Which was a Valentine’s day themed card.

So I took Maggie coloured her with my copics, and carefully trimmed her out. I pulled out my ancient but loved coluzzle and made two hearts and embossed them with two CB folders. The ribbon is from my stash that I used my Bow easy to make . Added a button and a charm that I got from Stampin Bella back in the summer.

I used my new Martha Stewart border punch along the edge, and I just gotta say that Martha has out done herself with all these punches, they’re incredible. I love them!!

Anywho, Gotta run. Check out the rest of the design teams cards here.

Snowy February day.

Filed under: Cards, Scrappin' Great Deals, The Town Scrapper — angiebaker @ 9:31 am

Hello everybody, well the groundhog saw his shadow yesterday so they say we have six weeks left of winter…SHOCKING!! My daughter came to my bedside yesterday morning asking me to watch the news so she could see him come out of his hole. lol, she’s five. :)

So I still have a few Christmas cards that I haven’t posted, but there more of a winter theme. So I thought I’d post them still.  This one is from High hopes that my friend stamped off a few images for me. (*hi Renee*) You can also pick this image up from Scrappin Great Deals and The Town Scrapper.

I coloured him in with my copics added some “polar” white flower soft to the snow and some Crystal Lacquer to his goggles. A few dew drops, some American craft ribbon and a couple  snowflakes from a CB die.

The sentiment I believe I got from Micheal’s and the paper is from Imaginisce.

Hope you have a great day!

HP Challenge

Filed under: Cards, Scrappin' Great Deals, The Town Scrapper — angiebaker @ 10:01 am

Good morning everyone, well let me tell you that our 15 hr crop at SGD was fantastic. I can’t wait until the next one. Sheila hopes to have one every six weeks or so, I’ll be waiting. Watch your calendars.

I got six or seven layouts done and tons of inspiration for future layouts.

Some other excitement in my life is I will be teaching Copic Marker classes with Andrea at Scrappin Great Deals. Kimmie is so busy with her new stamp line that I have been asked to help out. Which I’m very excited and more then happy to do :)

Our first class together is February 20th, hope you can join us.

This week’s Humble Pie  challenge was to use five or more flowers. Well that’s easy, I love to use flowers. I decided to use these layered flowers that I had gotten from the $ store.

I coloured the image in with my copic markers and cut them out with my scalloped nesties.

The paper is from Phebe’s, the hearts are a SU punch and the stamp is from Michael’s. Perfect sentiment for this card.

Check out the  HP  blog to see what the other designers  came up with this week.  HERE

Have  a great weekend.

One more sleep…

Filed under: Cards, Scrappin' Great Deals — angiebaker @ 11:42 am

Good morning.  Only one more sleep til the 15 hour crop at Scrappin Great Deals, I’m just a little more then thrilled!!!  There’s still four spots left if you want to join us. Come on, you know you wanna?!…  Donna ;) (my big sis) whose boys “apparently”  have a hockey tournament, jeez get your priorities straight. lol

I can’t wait. I still need to get my stuff put together so that’s what I’ll be doing today in my free time. I’ve been going through photos on the computer, printing off which ones I’d like to scrapbook and there’s a ton. Seriously our “online album” tells me that we have 18536 photo’s to date… I think I’ll need a little more then 15 hours, lol.

So that’s tomorrow, and my oldest daughter has a Birthday Party at Build a Bear. I don’t know which one of us is more excited. Hee hee.  I’m a dork I know…but besides that this is the card that I have made for the Birthday girl. My daughter wants me to keep it for her, but I’ll just have to make another one.

I used this darling little princess from The Greeting Farm, she has been on my wish list since November I bet. But apparently no one besides me looks at that list. lol To my husbands defense, he always says “You’re just gonna buy it anyway” which is usually true.   :)

I coloured her using my copics. It’s funny a when I first started stamping I stayed completely away from images that needed to be coloured. Then I came across Stampin Up’s water-colour crayons,  which I used for awhile. But I’ve since past them onto  my mom.  And now I only use my copics. I love them.

I cut her out using my oval nesties and I tried inking around the edges while it was still in the nestie. My first time, it turned out alright. I added stickles to her gown and a couple tiny gems to her crown for some bling. You probably can’t tell in the photo but I added some crystal lacquer to the frog.  The paper is from Bobunny, Love Shack Cut Outs.  I added some glimmer mist to the pink flower, which use to be white, and a pearl brad all from SGD, also the heart stickers. My best find at the dollar store to date are these gems.  Awesome eh?!

So there we have it. I think this is one of my favourite cards I have done in awhile. It’s so girly, glittery and pink, all that fun stuff. I hope the Birthday girl doesn’t just recycle it, oh the horror. Aghhh, I don’t want to even think that. *sniff, sniff*

Well you have yourself a great weekend, and I’ll tell you all about my “day of me” next time. Thanks for stopping by.

Teen Anya

Filed under: Cards, Scrappin' Great Deals — angiebaker @ 11:44 am

Hello my friends. Are you keeping warm?

Todays card is from the Greeting Farm, a Teen Anya set. I’m not sure of the exact name. I made this card for the fabulous Sheila that owns Scrappin Great Deals.  You know how I love my teal and chocolate, and here’s yet another card with that combo. I’m actually thinking of doing our bathroom in those colours, but my husbands not feelin it…yet ;)

The paper and the glittery ribbon are from the $ store and I used my bow easy to make the double bow. If you do not have one I would add it to your wish list. It makes several different sizes of bows and they are perfect in shape. Plus you can do creative things like make double or even triple bows with them.

I coloured Anya with my copics and then carefully trimmed her out and pop dotted her on this glittery paper that I cut out using my labels nestie and then embossed it with my snowflake CB folder. The sentiment is one of those $1.50 acrylic stamps from Michael’s that I added some faux stitching too. A  few gems in the corners and Voila.

Only three more sleeps til the 15hour crop at SGD, I’m very excited!!

Have a great day!

Kraftin Kimmie’s Stamps

Filed under: Cards, Scrappin' Great Deals — angiebaker @ 9:56 am

Good morning everyone. Again I apologize for disappearing. I too have been a bad blogger. I have been busy crafting away on some projects for classes and such but just haven’t had the time to post anything.

But today here I am with a stamp from Kraftin Kimmie’s line. I love these girls. They have such a different look about them. My husband calls them the “twitchy girls” cause they sometimes have this little look in their eye like they may snap. But that’s what I love about them, lol.

So today I’m using Josephine from last month’s release. I used my teals and browns cause their one of my favourite colour combo’s. I coloured her with my copics adding a  bit of stickles to the potion. Some stars that I found at a $ store and also some dew drops. The paper is from Retro Prints from DCWV paper pack, that I got from the SGD garage sale back in the fall. I’m in love with this line. I finished my card by adding a border with my Martha Stewart punch. Isn’t she cute?!

I am going to try to post on a more regular basis, but we’ll see what happens.

I wanted to post all my Christmas cards that I made and I still haven’t done that yet. lol

Anyway, have a wonderful weekend and hopefully you’ll get some time to do some stampin.

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 11:38 pm

Alright I know were all done with christmas but I haven’t finished showing you my cards. And I haven’t made anything new lately sooo you’re stuck with this, lol.

These were a couple of $1.50 stamps that I had gotten from Michaels’s. Added a glittery snowflake with a bit of bling and tah dah.

Just a quick post cause I’m off to bed, but seeings as I haven’t posted anything since last year…ha ha.

I know lame, sorry.

Anyhoo, night night :)

I’m back baby!!

Filed under: Cards — angiebaker @ 12:48 pm

No I haven’t actually really gone anywhere but I think things are possibly back to normal now…I hope.

First good news is that my father in law came home yesterday from the hospital, after a long five weeks of recovering from bacterial and viral pneumonia. So that’s awesome to have him home again.

We all survived throught the christmas holidays, the weather was pretty decent for travelling and we have some snow now so the girls and I were out yesterday playing in it. Still a bit too fluffy to make a snow man, but we tried. It looks more like a hill, lol.

There’s some boxing week sales that I would love to get too. Like Michaels’ has all their storage stuff on for 50% off. So I’m sitting in my craft room brainstorming, but I don’t think I have the space for anything more…so then I thought of my mother in law and she has a room downstairs just waiting to be transformed so she no longer needs to work at her dinning room table. Well, she still could but this gives her a spot so she can leave her “mess” ;) out and no one needs to worry about it. Plus I’m dying to transform that room.  It would be sooo much fun.

I have lots of cards that I wanted to post before christmas but then time just got out of my hands. So now that I have a bit of time again here we go. Starting with some CC Designs.

Sorry if these pics are kinda all over the place. I’ll post some more tomorrow maybe. Or maybe even later today…we’ll see how the day goes. :) Thanks for stopping by, hopefully you all had a great Christmas and are ready to bring in the New year.

Where have I been…

Filed under: Cards, Scrappin' Great Deals — angiebaker @ 12:40 pm

Good morning my friends. I feel old saying this but wow, where has the time gone?!

We’ve had some illness in our family, everyone seems to be doing alright now. But it was kinda scary for a bit there. It’s not pleasant at any time of year to have loved ones sick. But especially at Christmas it makes it a bit tougher.  Were hangin in there though. Lots of supportive friends and family, thanks everyone for your support.

So I have been very busy making lots of cards, 40 to be exact and I would like to get another five done. My hubby took them over to the post office this morning. Did you know that it cost more to mail the square envelopes…I did not. So if you get a square card this year you know you must be worth the extra postage. lol ;)

This is one of the many styles of cards that I did this year. I used this High Hopes stamp that I got from SGD back in the summer. I remember colouring these one day out in the back yard while the girls played. So they have been done for quite some time.

I added a flourish and a snow flake with a small gem. The paper is unknown.

So be sure to check back soon I hope to post all my card that I have made this holiday season. There are lots.

Have a great day.
